Hope for Kurdistan: A Beacon of Light for Those in Need

For over four years, Jihan Brifki, a dedicated member and advisor for the United States and Canada within the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation, has been at the forefront of charity work, tirelessly serving the less fortunate in Kurdistan. Her efforts have transformed the lives of over 3,000 individuals, facilitating essential support that includes shelter, food, and medical assistance. Through her fundraising initiatives, Jihan has proudly helped secure housing for more than 40 families, providing them with stability and hope during their most challenging times.

Recognizing the ongoing struggles faced by many, Jihan recently launched her new organization, Hope for Kurdistan, under the umbrella of the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation. This initiative aims to extend her compassion to individuals and families in need across all regions of Kurdistan. The organization is committed to providing vital support, whether it involves essentials like food, clothing, shelter, housing, or urgent medical expenses.

In an exciting development, Hope for Kurdistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF). This collaboration will enhance the capacity of both organizations, allowing them to work together to implement impactful charity projects and effectively support those in need throughout Kurdistan. Together, they aim to create a more significant influence on the lives of the underserved communities.

In a remarkable show of community spirit, Hope for Kurdistan recently aided a 28-year-old resident of Amedy, securing $3,000 in just two weeks to cover essential costs for a life-saving liver transplant. This story is a testament to the positive impact of the organization and the incredible difference a united community can make.

Hope for Kurdistan stands firm in its mission to serve every Kurd in need, regardless of their religion or political affiliation. Jihan and her team recognize that to achieve this ambitious goal, they cannot act alone. This is where you, our global community, come into play. Your support is crucial in healing hearts and restoring faith in humanity for those who have faced hardship and despair. Together, we can empower those in need and foster profound changes within our community.

As part of the ongoing efforts to raise vital funds, Hope for Kurdistan will host a fundraising marathon this Thursday, as an integral part of the initiatives led by the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation. We invite individuals and businesses to join this meaningful event, exploring opportunities to contribute monthly through an autopay option. Each donor will have the freedom to choose an amount they feel comfortable with, and on Friday evening, we will honor and announce all those who commit to monthly donations.

This is more than just a fundraiser; it embodies the spirit of unity and compassion within the Kurdistani diaspora. Although we flourish in our new communities, it is imperative that we do not forget our families and loved ones back in Kurdistan who desperately need our support.

Let us rally together to ensure the success of this fundraising marathon and amplify the impact of Jihan Brifki’s vital work through Hope for Kurdistan. Every contribution, no matter how small, can lead to a significant change in someone’s life. Join us in this noble cause, and let’s make a resonant difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Join us, support Jihan, and help Hope for Kurdistan shine bright as a beacon of hope for all under the guiding mission of the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation.
