Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation Condemns Attacks on Kurds in Aleppo

The Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation condemns Syrian government attacks on Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo, calls on international actors to stop killings and displacement, and reaffirms solidarity with Kurds in Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyah, and Rojava.

The Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation strongly condemns the attacks carried out by Syrian government forces against Kurds in the city of Aleppo, specifically targeting the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah.

We stand in full solidarity with the Kurdish people living in these areas and reaffirm our unwavering support for our people amid these assaults.

The Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation calls on human rights organizations, the United Nations, and democratic countries to take urgent action, stressing that the killing, displacement, and forced expulsion of the Kurdish population in Aleppo must be brought to an immediate halt.

We also recall the message of President Masoud Barzani, in which it was emphasized that political problems in Syria must not become a cause for war between Kurds and Arabs.

In conclusion, we reaffirm with full commitment our moral and political support for our people in Rojava Kurdistan and Syria, and for the Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom.
