The Kurdistan Diaspora Center in Norway has announced the launch of a multilingual digital project designed to serve as a bridge for Kurds residing in the country.
Developed in Kurdish (Sorani and Kurmanji dialects), Arabic, English, and Norwegian, the website’s primary objective is to unite Kurds and strengthen their social and cultural ties within the diaspora.
Razwan Ghazi Abu-Zaid, head of the Kurdistan Diaspora Center in Norway, noted that the idea for the website emerged following the centre’s establishment in May 2026.
He emphasised that their work is guided by the directives of President Barzani, who has called upon the diaspora to focus solely on serving the Kurdish cause and national identity, while remaining independent of partisan politics.
Consequently, the website is intended to act as an inclusive umbrella for all Kurds in Norway, without exception.
Beyond communication, preserving national identity, language, and authentic Kurdish culture is a key strategic goal of this electronic project.
The centre’s head commended the talented young Kurds in Norway who own an AI-specialised company; they were responsible for the design and development of the website, showcasing the growing capabilities of Kurdish youth in modern technology.
This initiative comes at a time when the Kurdish diaspora in Europe is in significant need of contemporary networking platforms.
Through the launch of this website, the Kurdistan Diaspora Center in Norway aims to become an active hub for safeguarding the culture and identity of future Kurdish generations within Norwegian society.
