After 25 years of continuous work and service in humanitarian, social, and security fields, Dr. Gova Ahmed, President of the Kurdish Intellectuals Organisation and a specialist officer in the field of crime prevention, has been selected as one of the recipients of the Community Inspiration Awards 2026 in the United Kingdom.
This international achievement, attained among representatives of 260 different nationalities, is regarded as a significant source of pride for the Kurdish community and its standing on the international stage.
Dr. Gova Ahmed, President of the Kurdish Intellectuals Organisation in the UK, as well as Vice President of the Federation of Languages and President of the Kurdish Language Federation in the UK, revealed details of his nomination for this prestigious award in an exclusive statement to the media website of the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation.
He stated that on 25 September 2026, at a prestigious ceremony in the United Kingdom attended by a significant number of diplomats, politicians, and senior officials, the award is due to be presented to him and 13 other recipients.
This achievement comes after the Kurdish community figure successfully passed a rigorous evaluation process, receiving a high score for his service to the community and his commitment to humanitarian values.
Dr. Gova described the achievement as wonderful news for the people of Kurdistan and the Kurdish diaspora in the UK and around the world. He emphasised that the award belongs to all Kurds, as he will be called onto the stage in the name of the Kurdish people during the ceremony.
