In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Dear patriotic and devoted Kurds in the diaspora and across the world,
On the anniversary of the historic and glorious referendum on the independence of Kurdistan, we extend our warmest congratulations to the entire people of Kurdistan, particularly to the devoted Kurdistani diaspora around the world—those loyal sons and daughters who have always been a strong source of support for their homeland throughout the diaspora.
For us in the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation, this significant anniversary embodies the profound message of President Barzani, who said: “The homeland is not a map drawn on paper; rather, it is blood that flows through our veins.”
We reaffirm that artificial borders and geographical distance can never separate the homeland from the spirit of its people in the diaspora. Kurdistan lives in the veins and hearts of every devoted Kurd living away from home.
On this solemn and blessed occasion, we bow our heads in respect and reverence to the pure souls of all the martyrs of the Kurdish people’s liberation movement and to the victims of the Anfal campaign. We reaffirm our commitment that the Kurdistani diaspora will always remain a steadfast stronghold in defending the national achievements and safeguarding the iron will expressed through the referendum.
