KDC Supports Publication of New Book A True Story of Kurdish Abroad

The book A True Story of Kurdish Abroad has been published in both Kurdish and English languages.

Written by journalist Shakhawan Akram Dukani, collected and organised by the Chapk organisation, and supported by the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation (KDC), the book captures authentic personal accounts of life in the diaspora.

The volume compiles real-life stories of individuals living abroad, highlighting their journeys of migration, life challenges, resilience, and personal achievements.
The publication was officially approved by the General Directorate of Public Libraries in the Kurdistan Region under deposit number 2655 for the year 2026.

The book will be distributed across libraries in the Kurdistan Region, while its English edition will be made available to libraries in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and several other countries.

Furthermore, the Chapk Organisation plans to distribute free copies of the book on December 21 during the Yalda Night ceremony in The Hague, Netherlands.

Additional launch events are planned for a national diaspora conference in Germany, as well as special ceremonies in Erbil and Sulaimani.

According to the publishers, a second volume featuring stories of prominent successful figures in the diaspora is slated for future release.
