Mala Bakhtiar to Analyze Middle East Changes and the Destiny of Kurdistan in the Netherlands

In mid-July of this year, initiated by the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation (KDC) and the Chapk Organization for Human Development, a comprehensive political and analytical seminar is scheduled to be held in the Netherlands for politician and intellectual Mala Bakhtiar. The event will shed light on the latest developments in the region and their impact on the Kurdish issue.

Titled “The Middle East and Kurdistan at the Crossroads of Change,” the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation, particularly in the Netherlands, will host this open seminar on Saturday, July 11, 2026, to analyze the sensitive situation in the region. The content of this gathering will focus primarily on the major changes that occur in the region every 25 to 50 years. It will discuss in detail how, in the post-Arab Spring era, the maps and dynamics of the Middle East are once again undergoing shifts. Furthermore, it will address the crucial question of what impact these changes will have on the standing and future of Kurdistan.

As one of the most complex and rapidly changing regions in the world, the Middle East is constantly facing waves of political and geopolitical change. As a key nation in this region, the Kurds have always been directly affected by these waves. Following the events known as the Arab Spring and the subsequent complications they brought, the region is now entering a new phase of conflict and the redrawing of political maps. Organizing such seminars in the diaspora represents an important opportunity for the Kurdish community to closely familiarize themselves with these developments from an analytical perspective, and to participate in open discussions to enrich collective national understanding regarding the challenges facing Kurdistan.

The Confederation has extended a general invitation to the public to attend and participate in this open discussion, allowing attendees to further enrich the topic through diverse perspectives and free exchange of ideas.
