In the presence of a representative from the kurdistani Diaspora Confederation, the Brussels and Belgium centers, in coordination with the Hevi Association, the Peace Organisation, and the Yazidi House, held a ceremony to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the genocide against the Yazidi Kurds.
On Monday, August 3, 2026, Ms. Nask Nasiri, member of the Executive Board of the International Federation of the Kurdish Language and Acting Head of the Kurdistani Diaspora Center-Belgium, announced to the KDC website that the Brussels and Belgium centers, in cooperation with the Yazidi House and under the supervision of Ms. Leyla Cildergosi, the Hevi Association, and the Peace Organization, held a special ceremony at the Brussels central office.
The event, attended by Harmn Ahmad, representative of the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation (KDC), was dedicated to honoring the 12th anniversary of the genocide committed against our Yazidi Kurdish brothers and sisters in Shingal.
It is worth noting that the attendees included prominent Kurdish and Belgian figures and activists, all of whom advocated for the protection of the rights of ethnic and religious minorities living in the Middle East.
