KDC Center in France Welcomes KDP Delegation

With the presence of the Vice President of the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation (KDC), the leadership of the KDC France Center welcomed the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in France. Both parties pledged to coordinate their efforts on national Kurdish issues.

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the presence of Shukri Barwari, Vice President of the KDC; Bewar Shaaban, Head of the KDC Center in Central France; and Bimal Barwari, Deputy Head of the Center and Head of Activities, a delegation from the KDP Committee in France was welcomed.
The delegation was led by Mehdi Shilazi, Head of the Branch Committee, along with several members.

This visit took place in the context of congratulating the KDC on the official opening of their center in Central France.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to develop cooperation and coordination between their respective organisation in France.
The discussions focused on initiatives related to children, women, and social integration, as well as the importance of cultural and scientific activities to promote the Kurdish cause within French society. Protecting the Kurdish mother tongue for the younger generation was also a central topic of the dialogue.

For his part, the Head of the KDC Center emphasized that their organization will serve as a “Kurdish Home” for every Kurdish family in Central France, expressing the center’s deep respect and appreciation for all Kurdish political forces operating in France.

In turn, the representative of the KDP in France expressed his full readiness to support all cultural activities of the KDC, emphasizing that such initiatives are vital for strengthening the historical ties between the people of Kurdistan and France, as well as fostering closer collaboration between Kurdish organizations to serve the Kurdish cause.

Furthermore, Shukri Barwari, Vice President of the KDC, provided a brief summary of the Confederation’s activities and core objectives.
He explained that the initiative to establish the KDC originated from President Barzani, who has dedicated his life to achieving and protecting the rights of the Kurdish people and is recognized as the primary political reference for Kurds worldwide.

Barwari further clarified that the KDC works to foster unity and cooperation among the Kurdish diaspora abroad, while also developing multi-faceted relations between the people of Kurdistan and Europe, as well as other nations.
