The President of the Kurdish Cultural Association, a member of the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation, participated in a meeting organized for the German Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.
On August 31, 2026, Jihan Muslim, President of the Kurdish Cultural Association in Leipzig, participated in the “Mitreden. Mit Bas” event held in Dresden.
During the meeting, Bärbel Bas, the German Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, was present to listen to the perspectives and discussions of various organizations and associations.
The meeting featured discussions on several vital social and economic issues, including the labor market, the shortage of skilled workers, migration and refugees, social participation, and the future of coexistence in Germany.
Representing the Kurdish Cultural Association in Leipzig at the event, Jihan Muslim actively engaged in the dialogue and exchange of views.
She emphasized that participating in such meetings is a crucial step toward strengthening dialogue, fostering cooperation, and amplifying the voices of Kurds in Germany.
As Jihan explained, the involvement of Kurdish communities and social organisations in these types of activities is highly significant, particularly for the Kurdish diaspora.
It provides a valuable opportunity to convey the voices and concerns of immigrants and diverse nationalities directly to German political institutions.
