The Kurdistan Diaspora in the Netherlands Organized a Unique Charity Event

The Kurdistan Diaspora Center in Venlo, in cooperation with the CHAPK Organization for Human Development and the Kurdistan Diaspora Youth Federation—both affiliated with the Kurdistan Diaspora in the Netherlands—organized a unique cultural charity event in the form of a boat trip.

The event was held with the aim of bringing together Kurds living in the Netherlands and strengthening ties within the Kurdish community across the country.

Its primary objective was to unite Kurds, foster closer relationships among Kurdish youth, and create opportunities for children and families to get to know one another better.

In addition to its social and cultural aspects, the event also had a charitable purpose. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Barzani Charity Foundation to support underprivileged children in Kurdistan. This reflects the federation’s commitment to improving the lives of children and promoting solidarity among the Kurdish diaspora.

The event also welcomed a number of Dutch and other European participants, who expressed interest in Kurdish culture and asked questions about Kurdish traditions and heritage. This provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Kurdish identity and culture to a broader audience.

The boat trip was further enriched by performances from Kurdish artists Dashni Baban and Hamid Othman, who entertained attendees with authentic Kurdish music and songs.
