A memorial ceremony for the martyrs of Eastern Kurdistan was held in Stockholm, Sweden, with the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation (KDC) represented by Sharmin Bozerslan, Vice President of the Confederation, and Kovan Amedi.
On Saturday, July 26, 2026, the ceremony was held to honor nine Peshmerga of the Komala of the Revolutionary Toilers of Kurdistan (Komala), who lost their lives following missile and drone attacks by the Iranian regime on July 17, 2026, targeting the bases of Eastern Kurdistan forces in Erbil and Sulaimani.
The event was attended by representatives of Kurdish political parties, organisations, and civil society institutions.
Attendees used their speeches and messages to strongly condemn the Iranian regime’s attacks and express deep solidarity with the families of the fallen.
During the ceremony, the official message of the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation (KDC) was delivered by Vice President Sharmin Bozerslan.
The message strongly denounced the Iranian regime’s aggression against Kurdish forces and emphasized the urgent necessity of maintaining Kurdish unity and cooperation.
The ceremony concluded with a solemn tribute to the memory of the martyrs of Eastern Kurdistan, with all participants reiterating their condemnation of the Iranian regime’s missile and drone strikes.
